Nike Dunk x Off-White Low

The Nike Dunk x Off-White Low arrived in 2021 as the natural extension of Virgil Abloh's ongoing dialogue with Nike's archive. After reworking the Air Jordan 1 and Air Force 1 through "The Ten" project back in 2017, Abloh turned his attention to the Dunk, a silhouette that had spent much of the 2010s in semi-retirement before staging its comeback. Rather than the deconstructed, zip-tied aesthetic of the original Ten, this collaboration leaned into a cleaner, more refined execution while keeping signature Off-White cues: exposed foam on the tongue, contrast stitching, and Helvetica text detailing the shoe's construction. Released across several colorways, including the widely chased "University Red" and "Pine Green" pairs, the collaboration dropped through Nike's SNKRS app and immediately became one of the most sought-after releases of that year. Resale prices climbed well beyond retail within hours, reflecting both the strength of the Dunk's revival and Abloh's continued cultural pull before his passing later that year. The release is now regarded as one of the final chapters in his Nike partnership, cementing the Dunk's status as a fixture in high-profile collaborations rather than a retro-only silhouette.
